Barbarians.
Five hundred years ago,
muskets rang out
and swords clang,
without a doubt.

Have we really
changed so much?

Five hundred years from now,
we will travel through the stars,
and soon enough,
there will be life on Mars.

Are we really
so un-advanced?

Right now, in a crisis,
the world is at stake,
and we must cool down,
or our world will bake.

You know what,
I wish there was
a certain time,
a perfect place.
on this Earth, this rat race.
Pratik    Div 1.

Hate that Rat.

Hate that rat,                                  Inspired by Mr. William Carlos William
like a dog hates to wash,
I said I hate that rat,
like a dog hates to wash
Hate to call him in the morning,
hate to call him
“Hey there rat!”

He crawl like his Grandpa
grin like his Uncle Rye.
I said he crawl like his Grandpa
and grin like his Uncle Rye.
Grin when he’s hungry,
when he’s full,
he grins again.

His mamma like to hold him,
like to feed him smelly scraps.
I said his mamma like to hold him,
like to feed him smelly scraps.
She can have him now,
I’ll have him by and by.

He got long sidewalks to crawl down,
before the setting sun,
I said he got long, long sidewalks to crawl down,
before the setting sun.
He’ll be a good stride crawler,
and a bad rat before he done.

The three R’s are ;recycle which means to make new of, reduce, which means to use less of-whatever, and reuse is to use the “trash” again.

JACK’S STORY

THUD. The sound of a grappling hook hitting the deck not five inches away from my face wakes me up from my unconscious daze. (The daze was caused by a group of people known as the sea kings, who may have unfortunately captured or killed many of my crew who may or may not have been killed by gunfire. Back to my unconscious daze caused by a sea pirate club, which could’ve crushed my skull. Why am I thinking so well if I’m nearly unconscious? ) Then it hit me. I was on a little raft floating in the ocean, while floating in the middle of a black lagoon, gently drifting to shore and that my process was considerably increased by the long, thick rope and grappling hook. Suddenly I felt unbearably tired and slowly slipped into unconsciousness. My last thought was that this might be the last time I fell asleep…

I suddenly woke up spluttering and freezing cold. I involuntarily gave a loud curse to the world and three of the giants came thundering out of the jungle and were about to kill me when a can of fuel blew up with a loud crack that could have only come from a Lee-Enfield. I realized that some of my crew might have escaped from the pirates. The pirates were yelling in Portuguese and with me being from Portugal I listened in on them screaming for my blood. Suddenly the can of fuel near my head blew up but the giant was between me and the can of fuel, so it absorbed most of the shock. Thank god. I saw Spud Huggins using a gun of German design to kill two of the giants while the 1st lieutenant or Firstee cut me free from the ropes while the last giant slaughtered spud. I raised the pistol Firstee had given me while the giant was charging towards me. I killed the giant and firstee and me ran faster than ever …fast enough to reach the other end of the island in seventeen minutes flat…

Seventeen men. No ammo apart from a few shotgun shells. No shotguns. All the rest of our ammo was useless because it was dripping wet. Of course we had knives but the fact that these things wore armor made our knives useless for anything but cutting and spreading butter. I cursed or blackened luck loud enough to make birds fly away from trees a few hundred paces away. Then I began to think…

Gorgug’s side story.

When the little ship landed our chimera climbed out of the ancient ship of the gods. When the newcomers arrived they killed many of our weakest troops and a few of our strongest. They killed my brothers. For that they will suffer slowly and painfully. That, I Gorgug, chieftain of the chimera swears!

Maxwell’s story…

Seventeen men will have to be enough to slaughter the creatures I hope. Our captain has organized a raid to invade the village and get to pillage plenty of the monsters huts. Oddly enough, these monsters use human weapons.

“Max! Stop dawdling and get geared up you son of a gun!” Shouts the red-faced captain. Our captain, an annoying man who likes to annoy us pretty badly.

“Aye captain.”

“ JUST-GET-MOVING-YOU-LITTLE…” The captain says red faced and annoyed pretty badly. I chuckle at his anger. That was a bad idea.

JACK’S STORY

“ Damn and blast!”

“ That’s no way for a lieutenant to talk.” My squad leader says jokingly while grunting under the load of his MG42.

I grunt as an adequate response and (not very carefully) grab a rifle off the rack and slap in a clip. Max and Firstee are in my little 3-man squad but sadly we, are the advance grunts. In other words we’re the advance rubble. Max is a pain in the a** while firstee is even worse than him.

Suddenly a guard to the north entrance falls dead and a group of the monsters attack our main camp and rampage the camp itself. The monsters were blood covered and they were using German MP44’s and Karo-Jak98’s to kill us. As I charge, bayonet attached to my rifle I was shot in the leg by a monster that was flailing in its death troughs. Firstee who was shot to death by a monster who drags me back to camp. I get angry and kick the monster in the chest who gets pissed and bites me, hard in the chest and I black out, probably forever.

Gorgug,

When the puny little human kicked me in the chest I bit him and with my deadly fangs he might have died. I think I am a little bit hungry. I’ll go get a big skinning and chopping knife. Hmm…. I wonder what humans taste like. Probably good with oregano. Lots of it…

Max’s story…

I don’t believe it! My whole squad is either dead or captured! They’ve been shot, stabbed, or bitten even! My new Captain and me are going on a little raid-to get Jack back. Were taking heavy weapons and are going not only to get him back but also to kill every-last-one.

2 hours later…

Geez. I really am starting to hate heavy weaponry because it is so “grunt” heavy. It’s been two hours and after a considerable amount of grunting we’ve finally made to the Chimera’s camp.
It’s been just us lugging two BAR’s to this camp and four rifles. Geez.

Finally we’re done setting up our camp in the hills and cliffs just above the Chimera’s village. Jacob, the new captain, has killed off the guards and is covering me with a scoped Lee-Enfield while I go to get the captain out of the hut. Then as the British say Bloody Hell, this will be my equivalent.

Jack…

When max came rushing in, his knife still dripping, I nearly fainted. He cut me free and explained what he and Jacob had done. The fools! So many Chimera would rip them to pieces! Well the best we could do to escape was to run from the camp but hey were not here just for me. There were other prisoners. They were already dead already turned into the Chimera but my rescuers were going to kill-them-all. When I was done, I winced at my painfully raw wrists. Damn and blast. Again. I took a MP44 and sprayed lead into the tents and probably saving us from two chimera that were sneaking up to assassinate us. So we ran up to the position where Jacob was priming and throwing things into the mass of Chimera and killing them with every throw. Hundreds of the Chimera were charging. When they were charging I noticed they looked a lot like humans. Ten at one moment two facts clicked into place my head. The chimera could be Greek or, they could be Roman, (Hence the name) and at one point they were human! I thought while mindlessly slaying Chimera that they might take the bodies and infect them to their own purposes. Gulp.

Suddenly a monster with MY sword killed Jacob. Damn. I grabbed a shotgun and emptied it into the monster killing it. I retrieved it and suddenly was bonked on the head and was stabbed HARD in the chest. I staggered for a moment and blacked out forever-probably forever…

Max’s story…

“ CAPTAIN!” I shouted as a sharp and jagged knife sprouted from his chest and he fell to the ground in a pathetic heap. I stood there shocked until one of the chimera jumped on me and gored me in the shoulder. I shot it with my handgun until it stopped twitching and I ran. I didn’t stop shooting over my shoulder until I had reached our pathetic little camp. Jenkins took care of the chimera that were following me and, Dixon and Randall kept a few of the more powerful ones at bay. When the sergeant questioned me I told the sorry tale of the chimera overrunning the barricades.
Finally when I was done I cursed my bad luck and the fact that my world was falling apart around my ears…

Marcellus

I was in charge of the plan to capture or build another ship. The Chimera hadn’t attacked for about a week. Our few spies found out that the chimera were gathering on a large oil tanker and were trying to flee the Island. If we could salvage an engine from the tanker, we could finally leave the island. The only problem was we didn’t know how to get to the ship. Hopefully one of our spies would find an adequate path to the ship so we can get the ship’s engines and fuel and attach it to our-
“I found it! I found a way to the ship!” our most foolish spy claimed. I groaned but called the squad up. We were ready to roll…
Max

Our remaining troops charged up the rope ladders and slaughtered the few Chimeras that were on the low metal deck of the ship.
The monsters killed four of us and all of us that remained that remained split up. Three of us went to the brig to find any survivors. The others went to the helm or to the kitchen to start getting ready. There we met with the creator of the Chimera. Their Queen.

We charged at it and gave it a nasty cut but it just kept on coming and killed Dixon with a quick slash from it’s many long and pointy claws. It also killed Randall by picking him up and throwing him out of the window. Suddenly, it fell dead when a sword sprouted from its chest and it died quickly. In it’s place stood Jack. Still mostly alive. On the way to the bridge he explained that he dragged himself from the village to the cargo ship and clambered into the Kitchen. He had survived there and found a German armory and killed almost every chimera on board.  He also said that the part of the crew who had gone to the kitchen were also dead. We went to the main cabin and gave the order leave because all who were alive were onboard.

Jack… when Jack left the island he was commended for his bravery and was given a medal. He then moved to America and died at the age of sixty-four.

The three-crew members were still alive and they decided to accompany me on my travels to finally find those intelligent yet mythical creatures that are still alive.
As for me, well I guess my job has now become an obsession…

The end.

“When the wind blows.”

When the wind blows,

scents wafting through my nose,

some good,

some bad,

but many make me feel sad.

Pollution,garbage and dust,

take out all the lust,

when the wind blows.

“Under a silver moon.”

Under a moon, a bright silver moon,

lies a pool, still as glass,

when I look at it , I think of the past.

Times long gone,

flutter through my mind,

like raccoons searching, for their night’s find,

or like birds cheeping with the wind.

Under a moon, a bright silver moon

lies a pool, once as still as glass,

but a rocky mass,

dropped into the pool,

changed it all into a memory of the past.

Lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2 is a RTS battle game and it involves training battalions of units. There are many different races and armies with unique and powerful units with varying strengths and weaknesses. The different groups of units are extremely prone to retreating from the battle field. the re are also different maps to “march” on and to do battle on. The different armies that are part of that you can use are the (good) the Elves, the Men of Gondor and The Dwarfs of course. The evil units are the Goblins, the Uruk-hai and the Orcs. another aspect of the game is the interesting powers menu. The more points you get in numerous ways, the more units you can get. the evil forces are easy to kill and the good forces are  pretty vulnerable to arrows. I can’t tell you the ending to the campaign mode because I haven’t finished it yet. But be sure I will tell when I finish it. So this game gets a pretty good 85%. I removed points from it’s total score due to load time and game size. Also the game is slow and it has O.K. graphics. Personally, the Xbox 360 game is better

Video games. Whenever a good game comes out I’ll write a review about it and give it a score out of 100. Also, I’ll give previews of video games that seem good enough. I’ll also write about or copy onto here pieces of writing that I do. I’m afraid that many of the things I write will be too long to type it all or copy it all onto here. Hopefully those will be few and far in between. I’ll also write about the environment and ways to help and protect it. Sadly, the planet is in pretty bad shape. so I’ll post another thing pretty soon.
